Breathwork

Accessing the deeper parts of yourself

Active somatic breathwork is a powerful way to connect with what your body may be holding. Using a two-part breathing pattern, we work with the breath to move beyond the thinking mind and access what is sitting beneath the surface of your awareness.

Stress, emotions and past experiences can become held and stuck in the body. The effects of past experiences and conditioning do not simply disappear because time has passed. We cannot always ‘think’ our way through them. When left unprocessed, they can continue to affect us long after the experience itself, showing up as tension, disconnection, anxiety or a feeling of being stuck or disconnected.

Breathwork gives the body space to process and release what it is ready to let go of. During a journey, emotions, physical sensations, memories or insights may arise. By meeting these experiences in the present, with compassion and safety, there is an opportunity for them to be processed, released and no longer held in the same way within your system.

Breathwork is an opportunity to deepen your understanding of yourself and your purpose. As you build your capacity to be in touch with more of yourself, this opens up capacity for more in your life. More love, safety, self-compassion, joy and freedom..

What happens in a breathwork journey?

We begin with a conversation about how you are feeling, what is going on for you and what you would like to explore in the session. This is an important part of the process. It gives you space to unpack what is going on and connect with what is present for you beneath the busyness of everyday life.

My role is to listen, ask questions and intuitively pick up on what may need attention. Together, we find an intention for the session before moving into the breathwork.

I will show you the two-part breathing technique and explain what to expect before guiding you through the journey. I support you throughout, helping you stay with the experience and follow what arises in your body.

Your only job is to stay with the breath. I guide you through the rest.
